Title
A Resolution authorizing an encumbrance in the amount of $36,751 or 25 percent of the State Forfeited Asset Fund (F.A.F.) moneys received in the 2016/2017 Fiscal Year, to provide for the support and operation of school resource officer, crime prevention, safe neighborhood and drug abuse and prevention programs, as required under the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act.

State Forfeited Asset Funds (F.A.F.) consist of the proceeds from the seizure and forfeiture of certain assets identified during criminal investigation to have been possessed or utilized in violation of the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act.
Pursuant to the provisions of Florida State Statute 932.7055(5)(c)(3), the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act, a local law enforcement agency must expend or donate no less than 25% of State Forfeited Assets for school resource officer, crime prevention, safe neighborhood and drug abuse education and prevention programs.
The F.A.F. Committee met on February 28, 2018 and approved this encumbrance.
