A Resolution authorizing an expenditure in the amount of $125,000 from State Forfeited Asset Fund (F.A.F.) moneys, to reimburse the City of Coral Gables General Fund for expenditures associated with the Police Communications Center Project.

State Forfeited Asset Funds (F.A.F.) consist of the proceeds from the seizure and forfeiture of certain assets identified during criminal investigation to have been possessed or utilized in violation of the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act.
Pursuant to the provisions of Florida State Statute 932.7055(3)(d), funds in a special law enforcement trust fund established by the governing body of a municipality may be expended to reimburse the general fund of the municipality for moneys advanced from the general fund to the special law enforcement trust fund prior to October 1, 2001.
The City of Coral Gables General Fund advanced moneys to the special law enforcement trust fund prior to October 1, 2001 for the Police Communications Center Project.
The F.A.F. Committee met on February 28, 2018 and approved this expenditure.
