“I would like to nominate IT Crime Data Analyst Christopher Cowen for the excellent work he has done developing and implementing technology tools that have brought value to the City’s public safety strategies and initiatives. Some of Chris’ accomplishments have been the development of the Traffix mobile app; the continuous application of data science and analytic to forecast crime trends and patterns that assist Police Officers with actionable data and business intelligence; working on the implementation of new systems such as CrimeView, NC4, BriefCam, OnSSI, and HPE; joining the IT GIS team presenting the City’s smart city initiatives at events in UM; providing constant technical and analytical support to the City’s public safety team; and many other successes in the short time he has been working with the City. He has a great can-do attitude, creativity, work ethics, customer service and teamwork skills. We are lucky to have him as part of our team.”
