A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the Design-Build Services for Fire Station No. 2 Addition/ Renovations and a New Trolley Maintenance Building to Link Construction, Group, Inc., the highest ranked responsive responsible proposer, pursuant to Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award” and Request for Proposals (RFP) 2017.11.LS, and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and award a final contract in an amount not to exceed the budgeted available funds.

The purpose of this Design-Build Services contract is to design and build a new trolley maintenance facility and to renovate the existing Fire Station No. 2, along with all required associated on-site and off-site improvements.
On August 9, 2017, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued, and distributed Design-Build Services for Fire Station No. 2 Addition/ Renovations & A new Trolley Maintenance Building, Request For Qualification (RFQ) 2017.08.LS (Phase 1). Thereafter, on August 15, 2017 a non-mandatory pre-qualification conference was held with fourteen (14) prospective proposers in attendance of the 105 prospective proposers who downloaded the RFQ package from Public Purchase, the City’s web based e-Procurement service.
On August 29, 2017, seven (7) firms submitted proposals in response to the RFQ: Critical Path Services, Inc., DiPompeo Construction Corporation, Kaufman Lynn Construction, Lemartec Corporation, Link Construction Group ,Inc., MUNILLA Construction Management (MCM) and West Construction, Inc.
On November 2, 2017, seven (7) firms were deemed pre-qualified and invited to participate in the Phase 2, Request for Proposals (RFP) 2017.11.LS Design-Build Services for Fire Station No. 2 Addition/ Renovations & A new Trolley Maintenance Building advertisement on November 9, 2017.
