A Resolution approving revised distribution of the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Cultural Grants.

On January 09, 2018 the City Commission approved Cultural Grant funding for FY2017-2018 as recommended by the Cultural Development Board.
The Miami Bach Society has withdrawn their application due to the organization’s decision to become inactive. As a result, the organization is no longer eligible for their award of $6,200.
The Florida Opera Prima has been withdrawn due to a motion by the Cultural Development Board to retract funding for the organization. Florida Opera Prima did not present the program stated in the organization’s grant application and did not contact the Board for permission to change the program per the grant agreement.
The Cultural Development Board bases their funding recommendation on scores and associated calculations. Removing the Miami Bach Society and the Florida Opera Prima from the list of eligible applicants allows for additional funding for all approved grantees.
Proposed revised distribution of the fiscal year 2017-2018 cultural grant is shown on Exhibit A attached to the proposed Resolution.
