A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to approve continuing contracts for an initial two (2) year period with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period with RJ Heisenbottle, Architects, P.A , Martinez Alvarez, Inc., Bender & Associates Architects, P.A and Gurri Matute, P.A for Preservation Architectural Consulting Services, pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055, known as the “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act”, Section 2-1092 of the City of Coral Gables Code of Ordinances, and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2016.06.LS.

On October 25, 2016, the City Commission authorized negotiations with the following firms as result of the RFQ process: RJ Heisenbottle, Architects, P.A , Martinez Alvarez, Inc., Bender & Associates Architects, P.A and Gurri Matute, P.A , to determine compensation that will be paid under continuing contracts with the City.
The purpose of these continuing contracts is to provide preservation architectural services to be provided Architectural and Engineering design services, Historic Preservation, Project Management, Contract Sourcing, Cost Analysis and Schedule Planning, Design Services for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E),Construction Contract Administration, Site Analysis and Consultation, Landscaping Architecture, Site Planning , Sustainable Design, Code Analysis, Public Art, Project Reviews and Move and Occupancy Planning. The professional services provided under this RFQ will be for projects in which the estimated construction cost of each project does not exceed $2,000,000, and the study activities for professional services for each study is not to exceed $200,000 pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055 “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act” (CCNA)
