Congratulations to Stinson Davis who holds the title Maintenance Worker II, recipient of the "Employee of the Month Award," for the month of February, 2017.

The nomination was submitted by Kevin Kinney who stated the following:
“I am nominating Stinson Davis, for Employee of the Month because he went above and beyond his job duties. Frankly he went beyond what most people would do.
On the sixteenth of December, he stopped a drunk driver from killing himself and most likely killing or injuring others.
Mr. Davis observed the vehicle stopped at a green light and proceeded to see if the individual needed assistance, when he approached the driver, he began to drive away on Coral Way. At this time Mr. Davis saw the open beer bottle in between the driver’s legs as he drove off. Stinson proceeded to contact the Police Department.
Stinson stayed until the police officer arrived. If it was not for his involvement, it is possible on that Friday, an accident or loss od life may have occurred. For these reasons, I believe Mr. Stinson Davis should be employee of the month.
Stinson has been employed with the City of Coral Gables for over 29 year. He is a kind man with a wonderful heart.
I believe his good deed deserves to be recognized.”
