Title
A Resolution setting forth conditions for encroachments into the public right-of-way, consisting of poles, foundations, Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) and Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) equipment, and all related appurtenances at eleven (11) locations throughout the City of Coral Gables, Florida.
Body
The City is in the process of entering into an agreement with Safeware who specializes in the installation of Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) and Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) equipment. Upon execution of this agreement, the City will proceed with the installation of poles, foundations, Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) and Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) equipment, and all related appurtenances at eleven (11) locations within the City’s right-of-way and/or private parcels.

The following criteria shall be met for encroachment approval and be incorporated to such agreement:

a) That Safeware be listed as the contact agency with Sunshine One for proper underground locations in the area of the encroachments;
b) That the use of the encroachment areas shall be private and the Safeware will not provide access or occupancy to any customer or third party without prior written approval from the City;
c) That the City of Coral Gables reserves the right to remove, add, maintain, or have Safeware remove any of the encroachments within the right-of-way, at Safeware’s sole expense;
d) That Safeware maintains the proposed encroachments in good condition at all times, and at the Safeware’s expense;
e) That Safeware shall replace, at its sole expense, any portion of the encroachments affected, in the event the City of Coral Gables issues a permit for a utility company to excavate or construct in the proposed areas of encroachment;
f) That the proposed encroachments be constructed in accordance with all applicable Codes;
g) That the right of way be restored to the original condition in the case the encroachments are removed;
