A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer, to award the contract for the Citywide Roof Repairs at selected city facilities to Precision Roofing Corp., in the amount of $342,965.70, pursuant to Invitation For Bids (IFB) 2016.02LS, and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code, entitled “Contract Award.”
Body
This Project generally consists of repairs and replacement of roofs in selected city facilities. The facilities include the Girl Scouts house, 427 Biltmore Way, Viewing Deck at Salvadore Park, Granada Maintenance Barn and three warehouses at the Public Works Maintenance Facility.
On February 10, 2016, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the Citywide Roof Repairs IFB 2016.02LS. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held on February 16, 2016 with
two (2) prospective bidders in attendance of the eleven (11) firms who obtained the IFB package from Procurement Division.
On March 11, 2016, three (3) bids were received in response to the IFB 2016.02LS, Citywide Roof Repairs from; Precision Roofing Corp.; A1 Property Service Group, Inc. and Cunano Builders Corp.
The lowest responsive responsible bidder for this project was determined to be Precision Roofing Corp. with a total bid of $342,965.70. The Public Works Department and the City’s Consultant concur with the Chief Procurement
Officer’s recommendation to award Precision Roofing Corp. the Citywide Roof Repairs project.
