Resolution appointing and affirming, ex officio, the Finance Director as its member representative and the Assistant City Manager for Finance and Administrative Support as its alternate representative to the Sunshine State Governmental Financing Commission; ratifying and confirming the appointment and service of its representatives; and providing an effective date.

The Sunshine State Governmental Financing Commission (SSGFC) is a separate legal entity and public body authorized by Chapter 163, Part 1, FL Statutes, which was created by an Interlocal agreement between the City of Tallahassee, FL and the City of Orlando, FL in 1985. The mission of the SSGFC is to serve the capital financing needs of its members and other participating public agencies through a flexible, low cost, pooled loan program.
The City of Coral Gables is a current member of the SSGFC and has traditionally held a seat on the board of directors which is comprised of public officials representing the City of Orlando, the City of Tallahassee, and three member governments elected at-large. The previous Finance Director was an appointed member of the board.
This resolution reaffirms the appointment of the City of Coral Gables' representatives as the Finance Director, ex officio, and the Assistant City Manager for Finance and Administrative Support, ex officio, as the City's alternate member representative.
