The Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship is a long-term event within the overall Junior Orange Bowl Festival. The event uses three (3) competition sites within the city and brings in a large number of international participants and spectators. One of the primary competition sites is the University of Miami Tennis facility. This facility abuts San Amaro Drive, a metered city street.
A letter from Barbara Waters, Tennis Co-Chairman requesting the waiver of any payment for parking meters is attached. Bagging meters for the tennis tournament is a long standing practice. The request is for thirty (30) metered spaces. The standard fee for thirty (30) meter spaces for ten (10) days is $3,000.
