Resolution authorizing Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral to sell alcoholic beverages as part of the St. George’s Festival on 320 Palermo Avenue on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to midnight; on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to midnight; and on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., subject to Florida Department of Professional Regulation requirements.

Brief History
The festival is a fundraising event for Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral. Ethnic foods are prepared by church volunteers and sold during the festival. On Saturday, February 11, 2012, and Sunday, February 12, 2012, there will be live music and dance performances as well as dancing.
This request is to serve alcoholic beverages during the celebration and is in compliance with the laws of the State of Florida.
This request has been reviewed by the City’s Special Events Committee.
