The minutes from the November meeting were circulated for approval. Motion: Sam Joseph motioned to approve the November meeting minutes. Jerry Santeiro seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Higgins Fallon circulated for approval the Annual Report on behalf of the Communications Committee which is required to be submitted yearly. Motion: Sam Joseph motioned to approve the Annual Report. Jerry Santeiro seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Higgins Fallon reported that the City is working on promoting the Junior Orange Bowl Parade which is scheduled for January 2 at 3 p.m. The city has also issuing Holiday Courtesy Notices until December 26 for users who forget to put money on their meters. For the second year, Santa will ride on a fire truck around neighborhoods December 19-22, this time with the help of Mayor Jim Cason. Higgins Fallon also reminded members of the upcoming Boards and Committees seminar presented by the City Attorney's Office which is scheduled for December 16 at the Youth Center.
Higgins Fallon showcased a music video produced by Coral Gables Television that could be used in as a promotional tool in local hotels, as discussed in previous meetings.
Higgins Fallon distributed a listing of upcoming Communications Committee meeting dates for 2012 for approval. Members were in agreement.
