Brief History
As the Province of Pisa has indicated that it is not interested in participating in the sister city program with Coral Gables, the International Affairs Coordinating Council (IACC) recommends replacement with the City of Pavia, Italy, which the IACC believes would be a good match with Coral Gables. The City of Pavia is home to the University of Pavia, and has a total population of 71,227. There are several important churches and museums located in Pavia, highlighting their vast artistic and cultural treasures.
