Congratulations to Lt. Victor Alpizar, recipient of the City of Coral Gables Firefighter of the Month Award, for the month of December 2012.

Lt. Victor Alpizar was selected as December's Firefighter of the Month for his acts of concern and consideration in dealing with the public, specifically his excellent response to an emergency call involving a victim of a garage door accident. Not only did Lt. Alpizar respond efficiently and expeditiously while rendering aid to the victim, but most importantly, he was able to keep the victim's child calm throughout the stressful incident.
The Fire Department has recognized Lt. Alpizar's thoughtfulness, kindness, and concern while handling this call and selected him as Firefighter of the Month for December, 2012.
