Body
The Neighborhood Renaissance Program continues its Street Resurfacing Improvements now in Phase II at various locations throughout the City.  The improvements include, but are not limited to, milling and resurfacing of existing asphalt pavement including driveway aprons, adjusting utility structures, replacing curb and gutter, and restoring the work area upon project completion. The streets included in this contract award are shown in the attached spreadsheet.   
 
On August 9, 2012, the Procurement Division formally advertised, issued and distributed the Citywide Street Resurfacing Improvements - Phase II Project Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2012.08.09.  On August 23, 2012, a non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held with five (5) prospective bidders attending out of a total of twenty-one (21) prospective bidders who obtained the bid package from the Procurement Division.
 
On September 13, 2012, five (5) bid responses were submitted by: H&R Paving, Inc., Metro Express, Inc., Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc., General Asphalt Paving Co., and H&J Asphalt, Inc.
 
The lowest responsive, responsible bid for the Citywide Street Resurfacing Improvements - Phase II Project was submitted by Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc., with a total base bid of $1,888,984.35
 
C3TS, the consulting engineering firm for the project, and the Public Works Department, concur with the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc., the Citywide Street Resurfacing Improvements - Phase II Project.
