Brief History
There is a documented need to rehabilitate and reconstruct the existing City 2 Sanitary Sewer Pump Station located at 99 Alhambra Plaza, Coral Gables, Florida.  The City has been granted financial assistance from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the rehabilitation of the existing City 2 Sanitary Sewer Pump Station.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has reviewed said request and agrees to provide financial assistance in the amount of $485,000, representing a portion of the total cost.  The remaining cost of the rehabilitation project, estimated at $615,000 shall be paid from the Sanitary Sewer Fund.

In order to receive said financial assistance, the City must enter into an agreement with the Department of Environmental Protection (EPA).

An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Annual Budget is required to recognize as revenue the $485,000 grant award and to appropriate such funds to be put toward the toatl $1,000,000 cost of the project.
