The Arts Advisory Panel is comprised of five (5) members, with the Cultural Development Board recommending members' appointment to the City Commission.
The members' terms of office most recently commenced June 1, 2011 and are set to expire on April 30, 2013. In the case that one of the members steps down during the term, a successor may be nominated by the Cultural Development Board and accepted by the Commission. This appointment for replacement of any member lasts for the remainder of the unexpired term.
Brian Dursum, a member of the Arts Advisory Panel, recently decided to step down. On October 4, 2012, the Cultural Development Board met and recommended the appointment of John Stuart, Chairman and Professor, Department of Architecture, Florida International University, to serve the remainder of Mr. Dursum's term.
